What water does inside a phone

Phone damage from liquid is rarely about the water itself. What the repair involves

1. Assessment first, and an honest answer We open the phone, look for corrosion, residue and obviously affected components, and tell you what we find. If the damage is too widespread to make a repair sensible, we will say so rather than start a job we do not believe in.
2. Cleaning and treatment Boards and connectors are cleaned to remove residue and stop corrosion spreading. This is delicate work that takes time, and the outcome genuinely depends on how long the liquid has been inside.
3. Replacing what was damaged Depending on what the liquid reached, the phone may also need parts such as a battery, charging port assembly, screen or camera. We will confirm what is needed and the cost of each stage with you.
4. Drying and reassembly Once the internals are clean and dry, the phone is rebuilt and reassembled — resealed where the model allows.
5. Testing and a straight answer Charging, display and touch, cameras, speakers, microphone, buttons and signal. If something still is not right, we will tell you what remains affected rather than hand back a half-working phone without saying so.
